Air Liquide Global E&C Solutions, the engineering and construction division of Air Liquide, has received the Triangle Safety Award for its exemplary safety record during its construction of an air separation unit (ASU) in Mississippi.
The Triangle Safety Award is the highest safety award presented by the southeastern electric utility for which the ASU was built, and recognizes contractors that achieve superior levels of safety performance.
Air Liquide Global E&C Solutions met the following award criteria:
• Performed at least 100,000 work hours during the year across all of the company’s sites;
• Sustained no lost time injuries or fatalities;
• Achieved a Recordable Incident Rate which was below the company’s goal, (this was an OSHA Recordable Incident Rate of 0.5 or less for 2013); and
• Caused no incident resulting in injury or interruption to the company’s production operations as a result of their work.
Cameron Mason, Vice President, and Ulrich Heindl, Managing Director, of Air Liquide Global E&C Solutions-Houston Center, accepted the award. Mason explained, “Safety is a core value of Air Liquide. We are honoured to receive this award in recognition of the commitment by our management and employees towards a Zero Injury workplace. I extend our thanks to our employees and contractors involved in the project for their dedication to working safely and delivering this project injury-free.”
