Xebec Adsorption has inked a new deal which will see Turkey’s steelmaking sector decarbonised through the implementation of hydrogen technology.
The clean energy technologies company today (30th Sep) said it has secured a contract to supply two Hy.GEN® 150 units to a Turkish flat steel manufacturer for the effort.
With a capacity of approximately 600 kg of hydrogen per day at 99.999% purity, the units will create a protective atmosphere within the annealing heat-treatment process.
On the deal, Marinus van Driel, President of Xebec Europe, said, “We are excited to be working with one of the largest steel manufacturers in Turkey to reduce carbon emissions and costs of their hydrogen supply with our decentralised hydrogen generation technologies.
