The Carbon Capture and Storage Association (CCSA) has announced that Kwasi Kwarteng MP, Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, is a planned speaker at CCUS 2021: Leading on net zero and clean growth in October this year.
CCUS 2021 will feature discussions and presentations revolving around carbon capture, usage and storage, hydrogen, utilisation and greenhouse gas removal. With 1500 participants attending last year, the conference this year could be set to meet or exceed those numbers, with CCUS developing at a fast pace in the UK.
The conferences provide opportunities for networking and building business partnerships, in addition to familiarising companies with new business models and proposals for project delivery.
A key part of the conference will focus on growth of the industry, evidence in the creation of thousands of jobs due to the UK Government setting out the process to enable the first CCUS clusters to be operating by the middle of this decade.
