Celebrating its eighth anniversary in Donetsk, the modern metallurgical enterprise Mini-Metallurgical Plant (MMP) ISTIL of the Ukraine held a ceremony to mark the grand opening of a multi-million dollar Oxygen Station.
The Oxygen – Compressor station meets all the latest requirements and was designed by the institute of JSC Giprokislorod on the basis of the KAAP-15-7M2 air separation plant from Cryogenmash.
The new plant provides for the full MMP demand of oxygen, nitrogen and argon which are used in many processes of electric steel melting and allow for improved steel quality. The ISTIL Group company, the owner of the plant, invested more than $150m into the production upgrading, with products expected to be exported into the US and Eastern and Western Europe.
Speaking at the press conference, chairman of the Supervisory Board of ISTIL Mokhammad Zakhur qualified the Oxygen Station construction as the largest capital investment of the plant.
