Venture Global LNG is another step closer to seeing its export facility and pipeline system come onstream as it submits its application to the FERC.
The application requests authorization to site, construct and operate Calcasieu Pass’s proposed natural gas liquefaction and export terminal and TransCameron Pipeline’s two proposed natural gas pipeline laterals that will connect the Calcasieu Pass LNG terminal to the US natural gas grid. Both the proposed LNG terminal and the proposed pipeline system are located in Cameron Parish, Louisiana.
The filing of this joint application to FERC represents the culmination of nearly 11 months of rigorous engagement with FERC and other government agencies under the National Environmental Policy Act’s “pre-filing” process, which aims to secure early stakeholder involvement and feedback in project development and to ensure that environmental, safety and socioeconomic issues are evaluated and addressed appropriately.
