Wärtsilä has signed a turnkey contract to supply an LNG receiving terminal to be built in Raahe, Finland.
The LNG terminal is scheduled to be operational in April 2018, supplied by trucks from Wärtsilä’s first LNG terminal installation, the Tornio Manga facility in Finnish Lapland.
Wärtsilä has signed an EPCI (engineering, procurement, construction and installation) contract with energy company, Raahen Voima. The scope includes two LNG vacuum insulated storage tanks with a combined net volume of 1,400m3, an LNG regasification system, truck loading and unloading functions, and all required civil structures.
