Four modules for the first train of Russia’s largest independent natural gas producer, Novatek’s Arctic liquefied natural gas (ALNG-2) project have been completed after two years of building by Chinese provider of clean energy technology and solutions Wison Offshore and Marine (WOM).
The ALNG-2 Project is the world’s largest polar LNG plant. Each of the three LNG production trains has an annual production capacity of 6.6m tonnes.
WOM’s involvement in the project included the construction and commissioning of around 150,000 tonnes of pipe rack modules and the creation and loading 21 BLM modules
WOM’s Zhoushan yard today saw the first two modules of the ship setting sail, due to be shipped to Russia. The other two modules are due for shipment in mid-September.
