Worley awarded CCS contract for Shell Canada’s Polaris project

Australian engineering company Worley has been awarded an engineering services contract for a large-scale carbon capture and storage (CCS) project by Shell Canada Products (Shell Canada).

The contract will see Worley providing Shell Canada’s proposed CCS project, Polaris, with preliminary front-end engineering and design services. Polaris, when complete, will capture carbon dioxide (CO2) from the refinery and chemicals plant at Shell’s Scotford Complex near Edmonton, Canada.

Commenting on the contract, Karen Sobel, Group President, Americas, Worley, said, “Delivering a more sustainable world for our customers is at the core of everything we do.”
