US-based industrial manufacturer Worthington Industries (Worthington) has released its 2021 Corporate Citizenship and Sustainability Report, a strong focus of which centres around supporting the community through its Worthington Industries Foundation.
With its key accomplishments listed in the report, the company revealed its donation of over $2.2m in support of 46 different organisations across health, human services, youth and education, civic causes and the arts.
Celebration of its 65 years in business gave Worthington another opportunity to support its customers, business partners and communities; its ’65 Acts of Good’ saw employees complete 65 positive acts that ‘made days brighter and lives better’. These acts included donating and serving food to local pantries, planting trees, and doing highway clean-ups.
Regarding such community-related activities, Andy Rose, President & CEO, Worthington, stated, “Since our inception, Worthington Industries has worked hard to be a good corporate citizen for all of our constituencies and in our communities, as well as to minimise our environmental footprint.”
