Worthington Industries has announced it has received HealthLead™ Workplace reaccreditation by US Healthiest, a non-profit dedicated to making the US the healthiest nation.
Through a comprehensive two-step accreditation process, including an online assessment and site visit, Worthington was elevated to silver status, an improvement from bronze in 2011.
HealthLead’s silver level accreditation represents an integrated and comprehensive approach to employee health and well-being, while demonstrating positive outcomes that impact the company’s bottom line. Worthington was recognised for its employee wellness champions, a new pharmacy app and healthier vending machine choices in all of its facilities.
“We are very proud to achieve HealthLead accreditation for the second time,” said John McConnell, Chairman and CEO. “Making health and wellness resources readily available to our employees and their families is a top priority, and the improvement from bronze to silver status, is a great recognition of those efforts.”
