Xebec Adsorption is expanding in the carbon capture space, having inked a $113.5m contract with Iowa-based SCS Carbon Removal, a subsidiary of Summit Carbon Solutions, for key technology and equipment.
Carried out through its subsidiary, Xebec Systems USA, the deal follows a previously inked Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two firms, which saw the purchase of 51 carbon dioxide (CO2) reciprocating compression packages.
Formalising the agreement on Tuesday (12th April), Xebec said its technology will be used for Summit Carbon Solutions’ proposed carbon capture and sequestration project, which could be the largest in the world if approved.
Equipment set to be delivered under the deal will be manufactured by Xebec in Colorado, US.
